Luke Vaughan: My name is Luke Vaughan and I am a high school senior in the class of 2022. I come from a family of travel enthusiasts and have had many awesome opportunities to travel the world with my family and see many landscapes and oceans. My family's travels peaked my interest in the environment and the relationship between humans with the environment. As I am starting to think about my future, I have started exploring the field of Environmental Science and the problems our world is facing, particularly affecting our oceans. Environmental Science is a multidisciplinary field dealing with the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the environment, as well as their effects on life in the environment. While I don't feel like I can make huge changes alone, I can take action by raising awareness on the issues in the environment. Every 1-2 weeks I will be making a post about the research I have been doing. The main goal of my blog is to explore Environmental Science, specifically the oceans, and raise awareness around problems in our environment and possible solutions. I believe the first step in action is education, we need the Notion to create Motion. I hope you follow and enjoy!
